Morocco

Trendsetter Travel are experts in Morocco travel and golf.  Morocco is a high end golfing destination – great golf courses, plenty of luxury 5 star hotels and reasonably priced golf.  Morocco is a safe country to travel in.  Most of the golf courses have been built in the past 20 years with just about all built by international design firms.  However, you do not take a self drive golf holiday in Morocco due to navigational difficulties and congestion in the cities.  Private transfers are the recommended method and are reasonably priced and can be readily arranged by TTGT.  We recommend golfing holidays from 7 to 14 days staying in between 2 and 4 of the following locations:

Marrakech (it is possible to fly internationally into and out of Marrakech) – plenty of luxury 5 star hotels and a great range of excellent golf courses to chose from including Montgomerie, Noria, Assoufid, Faimont – Royal Palm, Samanah and Palm Golf Ourika.

Agadir – Several 5 star golf resorts with a good selection of excellent golf courses including Tazegzout (# 6 in Morocco), Royal Agadir and Golf de l’Ocean.

Rabat – the capital of Morocco and located on the coast one hour by road north of Casablanca. The city has several excellent 5 star hotels and importantly is where the # 1 golf complex in Morocco is located.  Royal dar es Salam is a Robert Trent Jones Senior gem and now comprises 45 golf holes and the Red Course is rated # 1 in Morocco and # 3 in all Africa.

El Jadida – Outside this historic sea port (60 minutes south of Casablanca) are located 2 excellent golf resorts – Mazagan (# 4 in Morocco) and Royal El Jadida.

While not included in the above (due to its distance from Marrakech and Casablanca) is the pretty port city of Tangier.  Just opened is the Graham Marsh designed Al Houara golf course which has jumped to # 2 in Morocco and # 5 in Africa.  Having recently played, we can vouch for its quality.  The course forms part of a Hilton Golf Resort.
