Luxury Golf Cruises & Tours

Discover unparalleled golfing experiences at the world's most iconic locations with Trendsetter Travel Golf Tours.

Trendsetter Travel Golf Tours is a golf tour operator specialising in both hosted and non hosted group golf tours. Its specialist niche is hosted luxury ocean and river golf cruises on the world’s major oceans and rivers provided there are plentiful golf courses located nearby. Past and scheduled deep water golf cruises have included Baltic Sea, Western Europe, Mediterranean, Canary Islands, Alaska, Ireland, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. River cruises completed and scheduled include Seine, Douro, Rhone/Saone, Nile and Mississippi rivers.

Our scheduled golf cruises only operate on small luxury cruise ships. Deep water (ie Ocean), we only use Seabourn, Silversea and Crystal (all ships with between 300 and 750 guests). For river, we only operate tours on Uniworld and Tauck river boats (with between 80 and 130 guests). To participate on our golf cruises, you need to have purchased the cruise through Trendsetter Travel and there exists no option to join our golf cruise programme if the cruise is purchased independent of Trendsetter Travel. We allow significant flexibility in the amount of golf you can elect to play on our golf cruises and encourage golfer/non-golfer couples and single golfers.

Trendsetter Travel Golf Tours has expanded into land only based tours (usually staying in the best available accommodation and playing on the leading golf courses) and, in recent years, has operated land based golf tours to South Africa, Italy, New Zealand (including either Cape Kidnappers or Kauri Cliffs) and Australia (to Hamilton Island, King Island and Perth).

To-date all tours have been hosted by David Cooper and all but two tours have been co-hosted by Adrienne Witteman. David and Adrienne co-run the business, are keen golfers and husband and wife.

The tour operator business has expanded into the planning and organisation of golf cruises and land based non hosted tours for small to large groups of golfers. This provides our clients with the significant benefit of our knowledge of golf travel throughout the world and access to attractively priced golf resort accommodation and green fees – which are usually only offered to golf tour operators. Using Trendsetter Travel Golf Tours to book your future golf tours will not only provide an optimally structured golf tour but will likely save you both time and dollars compared to the alternative of planning and booking independently.

You should look to book your next future golf cruise with Trendsetter Travel Golf Tours if the following features appeal to you?

Our Team

Tours are hosted by the owners/managers of the business who both have a great passion for golf cruises.

Luxury Cruising

Cruises are all on small luxury ships

Pay for what you play

At least on the Ocean Cruises, all golf games are optional and you pay for what your play.

Small groups

The absolute maximum number of golfers on a golf cruise or tour is 32 golfers but most golf games played have a limit of 28 golfers unless a two tee or multiple tee start is possible.

Facilities for all

Golf courses are only played which have sufficient motorised carts for all or just about all of our tour party.

Great Value

On Ocean cruises our cost per golf game averages less than 50% of the cost charged by our international competitors. This is a function of lower margins and efficient management of costs.

  • We joined the Trendsetter Group based purely on the concept of mixing golf and travel on what we loosely termed a golf cruise.   Little did we realise what a wonderful, fun and enjoyable experience this would be!   David and Adrienne had every aspect of the trip down to a fine art. From the moment we joined the group in Copenhagen we were welcomed as part of the Aussie ‘family’.  Golf games had been organised in every port, all at highly rated and some spectacular courses but the choice of how many we played had been ours to make prior to the trip.   Trendsetter Travel/ David and Adrienne took care of everything including golf storage, coach transport to and from games, team selection and of course post golf drinks and prizes! The banter and humour made it a really fun and memorable trip and we’d totally recommend it to all Brits thinking of joining an Aussie group with golf at its heart.” Vicki and David

  • Sara and I have travelled with David and Adrienne of Trendsetter Travel on four separate international golfing holidays (Scotland, Ireland, Florida and the Mediterranean golf cruise in 2016). All of these trips have been exceptional well organised with highly rated golf courses, quality accommodation and easy travel arrangements. A key feature is the attention to detail which makes for hassle free travel both on and off the golf course. We thoroughly recommend Trendsetter Travel and look forward to our next golf trip with them.

  • We cruised the Baltic and played golf all the way.  We are Brits and found Trendsetter through friends in Australia.  From the beginning the level of communication was exceptional, always helpful, informative and clear, which meant we felt confident in dealing with a company on the other side of the world.  Our hosts David and Adrienne were truly brilliant. Their organisation and attention to detail was second to none, every aspect was covered, which meant this was a totally stress-free experience.  David‘s humour was appreciated by all, irreverent, funny and always relevant.  The golf courses chosen were excellent, all different, some were easier than others and some challenging ones.    We had huge waste bunkers, lakes and ditches and tight fairways, thankfully not all at once! We received regular updates every day throughout the cruise, handicaps were revised to give all a chance to win the prize pot and to reflect play.  The group was very friendly and it did not take long to get to know everyone . The coaches used were new, on time, had careful drivers who knew how to find the courses! I would thoroughly recommend Trendsetter to anyone and we are already telling all our friends.

  • Congratulations to Trendersetter Travel - specifically Adrienne and David - for a wonderful cruise experience. Combining golf and a cruise is the best way to enjoy Europe if you are a golfing fan. Easy access each day to a coach, load up your clubs and off to somewhere new to explore the variety of golf courses in France, Spain and Portugal. The group was a mixture of personalities, all of whom melded perfectly, and provided an environment of fun and endless good humour and laughter. The competitions (2BBB, individual scores etc) provided good natured hilarity and ribbing to finish off the day. We have done a number of cruises but the added activity of golf almost every day (or not if you wanted a day off) was addictive and now we cannot think of travelling anywhere if golf is not a part of the trip. The standard of organisation for the trip has been set high!

  • Trendsetter Golf Tours never disappoint. David and Adrienne are perfect hosts who attend to every detail. We have been all over the world on their golf tours, and have relished their knowledge, research and organisation. The golf cruise is particularly seamless and of a high quality - we are already signed-up for another around the Mediterranean.
