Trendsetter is offering a fantastic golf programme which has you playing the leading golf courses in New Zealand:
- Hobart – Tasmania Golf Club (# 1 ranked golf course in Hobart)
- Dunedin – Otago Golf Club (# 1 ranked golf course in Dunedin and oldest golf club in NZ)
- Christchurch – Clearwater Golf Club (home of many USPGA tournaments)
- Wellington – Paraparaumu Beach Golf Links (for many years the # 1 ranked course in NZ)
- Napier – Cape Kidnappers (consistently ranked in the top 100 golf courses in the world)

With our 5 game golf programme, the option exists to opt out of one or more of the golf games and receive an equitable pricing adjustment. A credit is available for green fees on a course you have reciprocal playing rights or if you wish to walk and not utilise a motorise cart (although motorised carts are compulsory at Clearwater, Cape Kidnappers and Paraparaumu Beach).
Significantly, the cruise fare we are offering is an ESSENTIAL Silversea fare and does not include shore excursions so you are not paying for something you are not using. However, the cruise fare is heavily discounted as Silversea looks to clear unsold rooms.
Singles are welcome but please note that the standard single supplement of 25% of the Silversea cruise fare is not available on the ESSENTIAL cruise fare but will be calculated on the port-to-port or door-to-door fare, as applicable.
David Cooper and Adrienne Witteman are your tour hosts. We have golfed extensively throughout the world and have organised and hosted many successful golf cruises and golf tours, including multiple times sailing around New Zealand. Unlike most other golf tour operators, we deal directly with the relevant service providers. This enables us to provide competitively priced golf at the best available courses and with no reduction in quality.

In addition to our golf cruises, Trendsetter Travel & Cruise Centre operates a retail travel agency on Sydney’s lower North Shore. We can book your travel requirements, and as members of the Virtuoso network can offer an excellent choice of hotels – with attractive benefits – to perfectly complement your luxury golf cruise. We invite you to join us for another exciting luxury golf cruise.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Sunday 30 November 2025 – Melbourne – Cruise Departure – late evening
Typical cruise embarkation onboard Silver Nova commences from 2.00 p.m. Tonight enjoy independent dining.
Day 2 – Monday 1 December 2025 – at sea
A relaxing day at sea allows you to experience the many on-board facilities which Silver Nova offers.
Day 3 – Tuesday 2 December 2025 – Hobart (Golf – Game 1) – in port 8.00 am - overnight
Late morning, we sail up the scenic Derwent River and into Hobart, to berth near the finish point of the famous Sydney to Hobart yacht race. We will then travel to Tasmania Golf Club, the # 1 ranked golf course in Hobart, and # 5 in Tasmania after Barnbougle, Lost Farm and the two King Island courses. It’s a charming course, tricky in windy conditions but with splendid views from many of the holes.

Day 4 – Wednesday 3 December 2025 – Free Day in Hobart – depart 6 pm
Today is a free day to independently explore Hobart. For those that have not previously visited, a trip to the MONA museum may appeal – with the option to travel by boat up the Derwent River to the museum.
Days 5/6/7 - Thursday 4/Friday 5/Saturday 6 December 2025 – Sailing Tasman Sea
Day 8 – Sunday 7 December 2025 - Dunedin (Golf – Game 2) – in port 8 am – 6 pm
Today we play the prestigious Otago Golf Club, located 30 minutes from Dunedin’s Port Chalmers. Apart from being New Zealand’s oldest golf club, it has hosted the NZ Golf Open no fewer than 7 times. We invite you to try and replicate Arnold Palmer’s efforts – in an invitation match against Bob Charles in 1966, Arnie drove the green of this famous 11th hole, the par 4 Glenn Hole – a distance of 370 metres. While Palmer two putted, the hole was halved in birdie threes.
Day 9 – Monday 8 December 2025 – Lyttleton (Golf – Game 3) - in port 8.00 am to 6.00 pm
We berth at the port of Lyttleton and will take a scenic drive via the Lyttleton tunnel to picturesque Christchurch and on to our golf game. Today we play the challenging Clearwater Golf Club, one of Christchurch’s leading golf clubs and host to the New Zealand Golf Open plus number 2 USPGA tour events on multiple occasions.

Day 10 – Tuesday 9 December 2025 – Wellington (Game 4) – in port 8 am to 6 pm
After entering the harbour early morning, we berth at the magnificent port city and capital of New Zealand, Wellington. The famous Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club (1949) is located 45 minutes north along the East Coast of the North Island. Prior to the opening of several new golf courses in NZ over the last 3 decades, it was ranked # 1 in the country. It has hosted the New Zealand Golf Open on several occasions and continues to be ranked in the top 10 of all New Zealand golf courses. Over the years, it has frequently been ranked in the top 100 golf courses in the world.
Day 11 – Wednesday 10 December 2025 – Napier (Game 5) – In port 9 am to 7 pm
Welcome to historic Napier, where many of the buildings are constructed in art deco style, following the devastating earthquake of 1931. This destroyed most of the then town, which had the foresight to rebuild what is now an iconic Australasian city, famous for its unique architectural style.
Enjoy a bucket list golf experience today, as we play the world famous Cape Kidnappers Golf Course

Day 12 – Thursday 11 December 2025 – at sea
Day 13 – Friday 12 December 2025 – Arrive Auckland – Disembark from 8 am
After a relaxing overnight cruise, we will berth early morning in Auckland. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, before bidding a final farewell to new friends and old, and disembarking to continue your stay in NZ, or fly home.
